
Remittance Forms and Payments
Employers are obliged to send Festa remittance forms on employee pension contributions. The employer or self-employed must also notify the fund if he no longer has to pay the pension contribution, since the business activity has stopped or the employee has resigned.
Festa pension fund also collects membership fees for individual trade unions that are associated with the fund.

Pension premiums
- 4.0% is deducted from the employee's total salary.
- 11.5% is the minimum employer's general counter contribution. However, the counter contribution is determined by collective agreements in each case.
- If the employee has entered into an agreement on private pension savings, a premium is deducted according to contract of the total salary, which is normally 2-4%, in addition to the employer's counter-contribution which is generally 2%.
- The employer must pay the contribution to VIRK vocational rehabilitation fund in the same way as applies to pension contributions and from the same source. The premium is 0.1% of the total salary.
Membership fees to trade unions
- Membership fee is deducted from the employee.
- Contribution to various grants and funds of trade unions are paid by the employer.
- Fees may vary between unions. Please refer to relevant website of individual trade unions.
