Festa Pension Fund

Festa pension fund was established in 2006, following a merger of two pension funds.

The fund's main office is in Reykjanesbær, with branch offices in Selfoss and Akranes. The fund's member associations are 11 trade unions on behalf of fund members and the SA Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise on behalf of employers. The board of directors consists of six members and two alternates, who are equally divided between trade unions and employers.

Over 20,000 fund members from over 3,000 employers contribute to the fund. The fund operates both an age-related mutual insurance department and a private pension department. The mutual insurance department is statutory. The Financial Supervisory Authority of the Central Bank of Iceland supervises the activities of the fund.
